We are a family-integrated fellowship, which means that families worship together. Younger children enjoy quietly coloring while our elders teach, and we’re easy-going about baby noise and wiggles. We believe that young people learn best from lots of exposure to wiser, older people, so we try to stay together as much as possible. After our meal together, the children and teenagers enjoy playing games together, even outside when the weather permits.

We will post a sign-up sheet for all corporate meals shared.The food you bring: please know that we follow a biblically clean diet. Some foods are unacceptable — and if you bring them, we’ll be kind, but we just won’t eat them. Please don’t feel offended! Our guidelines are found in Leviticus 11, but in general, here are some pointers to keep in mind:We do not eat any pork or shellfish.Pork and shellfish are hidden as additives in many foods. For example, gelatin is made from pork, so we don’t eat marshmallows or Jell-O unless we can find them from a source we know isn't from a biblically unclean animal.Some other foods that sometimes contain unclean ingredients are beef sausage casings, bread, salad dressings, pie crust, pastries and doughnuts, and commercially prepared drinks such as high-fructose corn syrup.When in doubt, bring only foods that have one of these symbols on the package:

Arrive on Thursday, Sept 24th, to set up, or wait until Friday, Sept 25th. If you arrive on the 25th, remember that sundown starts both the first holy day of Sukkot and the Sabbath. No work after sundown.Leaving. The campground will be available for us through Sunday, the 4th of October. From Friday evening, Oct 2nd, to Shabbat evening, Oct 3rd, is the 8th day. It is a holy day, Shemini Atzeret, at the end of Sukkot. That makes it more convenient to leave on Sunday the 4th.

To stay at the campground is $20 per night, per family. There are a few cabins available for $20 a night. They go quickly, so call Bob Foor and secure yours early.

Alpena, MI is only about 15 min from the campground, where you will find gas, food, and other places to shop if needed.
